Officers and Soldiers

This blog post is on the officers and the solders that were in Fort York in pioneer times. First I’m going to tell you about why the soldiers joined the army. They did it because the army was offering them every thing they needed: food, water, and shelter. The room all the soldiers lived in was packed. It usually had up to 36 soldiers in there. But that’s  not all. If they had families they’d be in there to. Plus the soldiers were in the same clothes all the time. Well not all the time they had a summer outfit and a winter outfit.

Now time for the officers. They got to be officers for one of tow reasons one they were from rich family or tow they had worked there way up through the ranks. There home was great. They had a living room a bed room and a dinning room where all the officers ate dinner. Dinner was the biggest meal of the day so the officers had professional cook make them dinner and get this there was one big cook book just for one dinner!  And all the  officers had a  servant so they had a room too.

Back to the soldiers for a bit. You know how I said there hole family was in there room? Well there kids would be there until either the army said they liked him and they wanted him to join or the army did’t like him and they wanted him go. This is at all at age 13 that’s when they called the boy an adult which is pretty crazy if you ask me. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

WestJet VS Air Canada
